About Bunty

I grew up in Monaco and fell in love with jewellery and gems when I was just a child.

Bunty is my childhood nickname my granny gave me …

Having become an HRD-Graduate Gemologist, I worked many years in my hometown for a prestigious antique store on Monte-Carlo’s Casino Square, buying, valuing and selling treasured and rare jewels. There I discovered my passion for designing and creating jewellery.

Over the years my curiosity and interest for sustainable and ethical sourcing has grown and is now at the center of my work and way of life.

A happy mummy, I currently live in the countryside just outside Barcelona with my husband Andy, our 2 little humans, Emily and Charlie, our 2 dogs, George and Dobby and a few chickens ;)

About my designs ...

I strive to create unique couture pieces that are harmonious, sophisticated, timeless and above all as responsible and sustainable as possible.

I love to combine the excitement and fashion awareness of costume jewelry with the special luxurious and good feel one gets from wearing real authentic gemstones.

I personally handcraft all my designs with great attention to detail, selecting gemstones for their high quality and unique characteristics.

To the best of my ability, I choose to work essentially with authentic, ethically sourced, untreated and not artificially coloured enhanced gems. Should I exceptionally use an artificially coloured stone for the purpose of a design, I would specify it clearly. I may also use other materials such as recycled wood, fabric, glass, nacre or shell, depending on the design. I work mainly with sterling silver, of which 50 to 80% is recycled, but also with 9K, 14K and 18K gold when commissioned.

With love and gratitude,

Susanna - aka Bunty ;)
